The Musklu 2025 campaign has concluded with extraordinary results, consolidating itself as a success story in the production and marketing of mussels in a context marked by market uncertainty, rising costs and the effects of climate change in the sea.

A start to the season marked by market uncertainty

The high water temperatures recorded at the beginning of the year significantly reduced the availability of mussel seed, which led to an increase in production costs and high price tension. During the weeks prior to the start of the season, the market was characterized by a lack of visibility in available volumes, doubts about the quality of the product and a clear instability in pricing.

Betting on the product and the quality of Musklu

Faced with this complex scenario, the company was the first to enter the market, betting firmly on the quality of Musklu and the experience of its team. This strategic decision allowed transforming the initial difficulties into an opportunity, reinforcing the positioning of Musklu as a high value mussel in the national and international market.

After a first week of high sales pressure, the season began to develop very positively. From the second week onwards, the pace of sales accelerated steadily, reaching an all-time sales record.

High international demand and producer confidence

In the middle of the season, the shortage of mussels in the Italian market led to a significant increase in demand in the Delta. At the same time, large operators in the sector intensified the pressure on prices to ensure supply. In this key context, the producers reaffirmed their confidence in the project, prioritizing the commercial relationship thanks to the coordinated work of the purchasing, commercial and production teams, as well as the constant support of the Federation.

Three months of campaign with mussels of extraordinary quality

The Musklu 2025 campaign lasted three months, from April 8 to July 8, with a product of exceptional, homogeneous and regular quality. The Musklu reached a meat ratio of over 25%, far exceeding industry standards and reaffirming its position as a premium mussel.
